Be at home
in a detached modern stone built house, surrounded by a very pretty
garden, in a tiny rural village close to Hadrian’s Wall Heritage
Site. Our theme is a quiet friendly atmosphere in which you can
relax from the stresses of travel. We can offer you log fires in
cold weather, very interesting walks and good conversation.
Walkers
will be warmly welcome, as will visitors with some disability, who
may well want to visit our region using our very own Hadrian's
Wall Heritage Tours.

Enthusiasts of everything Roman will have access to our library
and videos. Guests indulging in one of our tours will have the exclusive
attention of our own archaeologist during their entire stay.
During term time he teaches part time at Newcastle University with
classes on Early Roman History and Hadrian’s Wall.
We
are ideally situated for exploring not only the Wall but historic
and unspoilt Northumberland.
